The death has occurred of Frances O’Connor (née O’Sullivan) (in her 99th year), Wayside, Rock Road, Mallow and formerly Currabower, Lombardstown.
Frances passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Mallow General Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband Terence, her grandson Fergal, brother Owen, sisters Margaret (Sr. Mildred), Anna (Sr. Elizabeth), Maureen, Therese and Phil (Sr. Philomena), sister-in-law Nora, nephews Eugene and Barry, and grand-nephews Robert and Michael.
Frances will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Mary, son-in-law Joe Dowling, grandsons Conor and his wife Jean, Kevin and his fiancée Katie, Liam and her beloved great-granddaughter Emmie, her brothers Pat and Don (Dan), sisters-in-law Mary, Evelyn and Mary, her nieces, particularly Maura, nephews, extended family and friends, especially Marie.
May She Rest in Peace.
Lying in repose at O'Connell's Funeral Home, St. James' Avenue, Mallow (P51 HH61) on Sunday (December 14th) from 4.30pm with Prayers at 6pm followed by Removal to St. Mary's Church, Mallow.
Requiem Mass on Monday (December 15th) at 11am which may be viewed on
Funeral afterwards to St. Gobnait's Cemetery, Mallow.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to The Friends of Mallow Hospital.
The family would like to thank Dr. Marian Donovon (Chapel Lane Surgery), Dr. David Molony and The Red House Family Practice, her Carers Michelle and Claire, all the Staff in Bridhaven Nursing home and Mallow General Hospital for their kindness and care for Frances.
