Francis ( Fran ) Havelin

Formerly Montpelier Gardens, Infirmary Road, Dublin.

Fran passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his firstborn daughter Ciara and by his parents James and Mary.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen (Kay) Née Lydon, son Ronan, daughter Alison, Ronan's wife Ryeojin, cherished grandchildren Eleanor and Sean, brothers Cyril and Barry, sister Helen, sister-in-law Clare, brother-in-law Liam, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and former colleagues at Irish Cement Ltd. Fran will be remembered for his sharp wit, humour and eternal optimism.

Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Saturday, 27 September, 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Fran at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on arrival at 10 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Dangan cemetery, adjoining Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Summerhill, Co Meath, reuniting with daughter Ciara.
