Sweeney, Francis, (Fran), Sallins Bridge, Sallins, Co. Kildare and formerly of Ballyfermot Road, Dublin 10, August 31st 2025 peacefully in St. James's Hospital surrounded by his loving family, pre-deceased by his parents Eamonn and Mary, brothers Patrick and Eamonn, deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Christine, beloved children Daniel and Niamh, daughter-in-law Leanne and most cherished grandson Con, sisters Marita, Anne and Theresa, brother Michael, brothers-in-law Stephen, Gerard, Lee, Brian and David, sisters-in-law Marion, Margaret, Ethel, Bernie and Breda, uncle Pat and aunt Nancy, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends, dearly missed by his best friend Eddie.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, The Waterways, Sallins, (W91 K6PN) on Wednesday from 5pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 7.30pm. Removal on Thursday from his residence, by Oliver Reilly Funeral Directors at approx. 10am to arrive at the Church of St. Patrick and St. Brigid, Clane for 10:30am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Bodenstown Cemetery, Sallins. Those who wish to leave a personal message/condolence for the family, please use the "condolences" section below.
