Francis (Frank) Dunne

The death has occurred of Francis (Frank) Dunne – O’Growney Gardens and formerly of the 4th Field Artillery Regiment, Columb Barracks, Mullingar, Co Westmeath – November 27, 2024 (unexpectedly), surrounded by his loving family, in the tender care of the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Sarah, brothers Billy, Gerry, P.J. and his twin Philip, sisters Marian and Josephine.

Frank will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children Celine, Teresa, Philomena, Frances, Philip and Eugene, their mother Teresa, sons-in-law Tayfun, Andrew, Stephen and William, daughter-in-law Vanessa, cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Catherine, brothers Bernard, Gene, Arthur and Christopher, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and former colleagues in the Irish Defence Forces and his faithful dog Murphy.

MAY FRANK REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home on Friday from 4.30 pm with prayers at 6 pm. Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am followed by burial in Ballyglass Cemetery.
