The death has occurred of Francis McCabe, Derrynaslieve, Kilmactranny, Co. Sligo on Friday 2nd January 2026.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the gentle and exceptional care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the North West

Hospice, Sligo

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Annie Mai, brothers Brendan, Leo and Austin and nephew Ciarán.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Maureen, son Enda, daughters Fiona and Emer, daughter-in- law Ursula, sons-in-law Padraig and Mark, his cherished grandchildren Sophie, Ailbhe, Michael, Aoibheann, Alice, Brian and Jason, sister Anne,

brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his daughter Fiona’s residence, Carraroe, Sligo, F91P2P2 on Sunday 4th January from 5pm to 7pm. House private to family at

all other times.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Requiem Mass on Monday 5th January at 12 noon in St Brigid’s Church, Highwood, followed by burial in Kilmactranny Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the North West Hospice Sligo.
