The death has occurred of
Francis Xavier (Frank) Gilmore
(Formerly St. Mary’s Avenue, Galway and Galway Co. Council)
On April 30th 2021, Frank died peacefully at Galway Clinic in the arms of his loving family. Darling husband of Brenda, adored Dad to Aidan, Aoife and Niamh and loving Grandad to his ‘Little Man’ Éanna and Baby Siún. Pre-deceased by his parents Vincent (Sam) and Bríd, his brother Vincent (recently deceased) and his sister Deirdre.
Loving brother to Margot, John, Michael, Christopher, Gerard and Sinéad. Forever loved by his wife, son, daughters, sisters, brothers, son-in-law Martin Faherty, daughter-in-law Áine Behan, Niamh’s partner Bruce Hancock, mother-in-law Celia O’Sullivan, Uncle Peter, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his many dear friends.

Frank's funeral will take place privately on Friday, 7th May,. Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church (The Jes), Sea Road. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.

The attendance at the Church, outside the Church door and at the cemetery will be limited to 25 people in accordance with current government guidelines.
The route to Rahoon cemetery from the Church will be via Frank’s home in Lower Salthill, St. Mary’s Avenue (past his original home), then Taylor’s Hill, Maunsells Road and Rahoon Road.
