Frank Carney

Carney, Rathgean, Ballintogher, Co. Sligo, Frank, passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of ICU staff at Sligo University Hospital, June 15th 2024. Cherished husband of Kathleen (née Rooney) and father of Agnes, Francis, Bernie and Micheal. Predeceased by his parents Agnes and Michael Carney and sisters Imelda Duffy and Mary Mc Gourty and son-in-law Tom Burke.

Frank will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren Angela, Aidan, Shauna, Laurna, Amy, Colin, Niamh and Ciaran, great-granddaughters Kaighla and Lyanna, son-in-law Gerry, daughter-in-law Una, sister Ita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephew, extended family and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home (F91 HW20) on Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 5pm to 9pm. Funeral arriving to St. Therese’s Church, Ballintogher, on Thursday for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Carrowcrin Cemetery.

Frank’s Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the Parish of Killenummery and Killery Facebook page.
