Peacefully in the exceptional care of the Bons Secours Hospital, Galway surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret, sisters Bridie, Phil and Dymphna, brothers Joe and Steve and daughter in law Olivia.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife of 65 years Delia, sons Fr. Mike (Roundfort, Robeen and Carras), John, Eamon, Noel (Galway) and Colm (Breaffy), sister Cepta Geraghty (Lisnagry, Tynagh), daughters in law Marie and Rachel, grandchildren Sinead, Sarah, Ben, Holly, Robyn and Abby, great grand-children Issac and Noah, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in the bed of heaven.

Funeral Arrangements

Sunday, 18th January 2026

Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Lackagh (H65N129) on Sunday from 3-00pm until 5-00pm.

Monday, 19th January 2026

Remains will arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65N129) for Mass of the Resurrection at 12.00 noon on Monday. Burial to follow afterwards in Renville Cemetery, Oranmore.

Mass will be live-streamed on Lackagh Church Live YouTube Channel and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM.
