Frank O'Dowd

The death has occurred of Frank O’Dowd, Castleblakeney, Ballinasloe, County Galway in his 96th Year.

Frank passed away peacefully on the 8th July 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Frank is predeceased by his parents Willie and Annie May, brothers Jimmy, JJ, Pat, Gerry and sisters Marsie and Kathleen.

Frank will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years Phil (Phileen). His adored daughter Áine and foster daughter Ann and her husband Michael John.

His idolised grandchildren Lindsay and Kealan, Lindsay's husband Fiach and Kealan's partner Leah and his great grandchildren Zoey and Archie, who brought him so much joy, brothers Noel and Michael, godchild Gerard, Brothers-in-law Clive and Mike, Sisters-in-law Bett, Mary, Anne and Mary and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends from far and wide.

Frank was a true gentleman one of the auld stock as he would say himself.

May his Gentle and loving Soul Rest in Peace.

Frank will be returning home to be with his loving family on Monday (10th July). Reposing from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Wednesday evening (at home).

Frank's cortege will leave the family home on Thursday (13th July) for Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Caltra at 2.00pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
