Cotter Gary (Garrett). Formerly of Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, Beamore, Co. Meath and Loughrea, Co. Galway. Gary passed peacefully from this life at University Hospital Galway, on the 9th of April 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Pre deceased by his father Edmond Cotter, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.

Cherished and much loved Gary will be fondly remembered by all of his family. Beloved Dad of Gráinne, Ciara and Pádraig. Sadly and lovingly missed by his mother Ita, siblings Michelle, Adrian, Edmond and Rebecca. Deeply regretted also by his goddaughter Aoífe, nieces Erin, Nicola and Emma, brother-in-law Eddie, sister-in-law Lisa, close friend Kate, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Gary will lie in repose at Kilboys Funeral Home, Loughrea (H62 KF63)) on Monday evening April 13th from 5pm until 6pm. Funeral cortege will arrive to St. Brendan’s Cathedral Loughrea (H62 CR97) Tuesday April 14th for Requiem Mass at 11am, the mass can be viewed on this link https://loughreacathedral.ie/http://www.churchservices.tv/Loughrea

Following the mass a committal service will take place at Shannon Crematorium, Illumnagh, Shannon, Co. Clare (V14 PV30) at 1 pm.

Gary’s family wish to thank all who cared for him during his illness and especially to those who were so kind to him in his final days.
