Gemma Kavanagh

Gemma Kavanagh (née Sweeney), Carne, Belmullet, Co. Mayo peacefully at Rathborne Nursing Home, Ashtown, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family on 4th April 2024. Predeceased by her husband Michael. Beloved mother of Mary, Michelle, Seán, Brendan, Ashling, Tom and Gemma cherished Granny to her seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family, brother Raymond, sisters Mary and Rita, sons in law, daughters in law, nieces and nephews, brother in law, sisters in law and her wide circle of friends.

Remains reposing at the Rathborne Nursing Home, Ashtown, Dublin (Eircode - D15 CAA4) on Friday from 4pm followed by prayers and removal at 5pm. Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Saturday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass is available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Sunday afternoon at 12 noon with all other funeral services available for viewing at 8pm on Sunday evening.
