Gene passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Team, University Hospital Kerry on the 31st of January 2026.

Beloved husband of Fiona. Sadly missed by his siblings Michael, Kate, Mary, Seán, Patrick, Arthur, Dermot and Brendan, mother-in-law Nora, father-in-law John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his adoring nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Gene is pre-deceased by his parents Pat and Nora.

Reposing at O'Shea's Funeral Home, Killarney this Tuesday the 3rd of February from 4:00 to 6:30 followed by removal to St. Mary's Cathedral. Requiem Mass will take place at 10:30am on Wednesday morning followed by burial afterwards in Aghadoe Lawn Cemetery.
