BARRETT (Schull): on October 8th 2025, after a short illness. GEORGE passed from this life peacefully at Cork University Hospital surrounded by his family. Devoted father of Róisín and besotted grandfather of Leo and Millie, father-in-law of Mark. Sadly missed by his loving daughter and her mother Claire, grandchildren, son-in-law, sisters Mary, Kathryn and June, brothers Johnny and Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 

Reposing in Arundel & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Schull, on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by Prayers. Reception into St. Mary’s Church, Schull on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11.15am with Requiem Mass at 11.30am, followed by Cremation Service at 3pm in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork. This will be livestreamed here.

George’s Funeral Cortege will leave Arundel & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Schull on Saturday at 11am proceeding through the main street onwards to St. Mary’s Church, Schull.
