The death has occurred of
George Busteed
Busteed (Cork) on February 13th, 2026, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Mount Cara Nursing Home, Redemption Road; George (Georgie) (Pigeon Fancier & Mattress Maker) Mount Eden Road, Gurranabraher. Beloved son of the late George and Nora and brother of the late Noreen (Doyle), James and Bridget (O’Neill). Sadly missed by his loving family, relatives, neighbours and friends and all at Mount Cara Nursing Home.
Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Monday 16th February from 5pm-6pm with Prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 17th February at 11am in the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
The family would like to thank the Management and Staff for the care shown to George during his time at Mount Cara.
