George Cooney

The death has occurred of George Cooney, Balyna, Cadamstown, Broadford, Co. Kildare, November 22nd 2023, peacefully at his family home aged 92 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Annie, his son William and his sister Renee (Bourke). Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Kevin, George, Anne, John, Rory and Conor. Deeply regretted by his sister Ann (Cosgrave), his bothers in law Jimmy and Billy (Carey), sisters in law Lucy (Dempsey), Bridget (Bermingham) and Betty (Carey), daughters in law,son in law, grandchildren Aaron, Ethan, Luke, Jordan, Megan, Daniel, Georgina, Iris, Pearl and Robyn, his 2 great grandchildren Aaliyah and Roisin, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many friends.

May George Rest in Peace

George will arrive to St Patrick's Church, Johnstown Bridge on Friday evening for Funeral prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 midday followed by burial afterwards in Kilshanroe Cemetery. Family flowers only please, with donations, if desired, to Acquired Brain Injury Ireland.
