The death has occurred of
George COONEY
George Cooney of Johnstown North, Maganey, Co Kildare, passed away peacefully, on January 27th, 2026 at Naas General Hospital, Co Kildare.
Beloved son of the late Mary and George and much loved brother of the late Jack, Kathy and Jimmy.
He will be sadly missed by his loving nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, great grand nephews, great grand nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.
May George’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace
George will repose at Carpenters Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (R93 C863) on Friday January 30th from 4pm, concluding with prayers at 7pm that evening.
Removal from there on Saturday morning at 10.30am, to the Church of the Assumption, Castledermot, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the Levitstown Cemetery.
