George McDonnell

Lifelong member, Officer and Trustee of Brian Dillon’s GAA Club. Following a long illness borne with unwavering fortitude, dignity and good humour, George slipped away peacefully surrounded by love at home on 23rd April 2025. Sadly missed by his devoted partner Geraldine and her children Aoife and Pádraig. Deeply regretted by his loving children Geraldine, Christine, Valerie, Derick and George and their spouses, cherished grandchildren, his loving sisters Breda and Marie and brothers Jimmy and Barry, sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and wonderful friends. Predeceased by his brother Derick and grandson Tomás.

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Cork on Friday 25th April from 5.00 pm to 6.00pm. Requiem Mass at 10.00 am on Saturday 26th April in St. Joseph’s Church, Old Youghal Road, followed by burial in Rathcooney Cemetery.
