The death has occurred of
GER (Gerard) FITZGERALD
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of GER FITZGERALD (Gerard) Park South, Midleton, Co. Cork. On March 17th 2025 in the exceptional care of St. Catherine’s Ward, Marymount Hospice, Cork.
Beloved husband and anam cara of Kathryn, cherished father of Laura, Kim and Jayne, father-in-law of Andy Rea.
Pre-deceased by his brother and best friend Pádraig. Ger will be forever missed deeply by his loving parents Liz and Paddy, sisters Caroline, Catherine, Margaret and Gillian, mother-in-law Emy (O’Shea), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Aunt Margaret, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-niece and extended family.
Ger will be remembered with love and laughter by his faithful friends at home and around the world, colleagues, the GAA Community, Military Veterans and the many groups with which he was involved.

Ger will repose at Hyde’s Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton P25VW02 on Thursday 20th from 5pm – 7.30pm.
Reception into the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton on Friday 21st for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
