The death has occurred of
Gerald (Jeremiah) McCarthy
McCarthy, Whitehall, Church Cross, Skibbereen. On February 19th, 2026 peacefully, in the care of the wonderful staff of Fairfield Care Home Drimoleague, surrounded by his family. GERALD, son of the late Jerh and Kathleen McCarthy and sister Mary. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Coakley) and loving father of Kay and Mary. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Arthur Ryan and the late Kevin Guerin, sister-in-laws Maureen Crowley, the late Kathleen McCarthy, brother-in-law of the late Con Coakley, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Romie O'Donovan's Funeral Home, North Street, Skibbereen on Sunday 22nd February, from 4pm to 6pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass on Monday 23rd February, in St.Comghall's Church, Lisheen at 12 noon livestreamed via http://Corklivestream.com/funerals Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The family would like to thank the exceptional staff of Fairfield Nursing Care Home, the Pallatitive Care Team, Bantry Hospital and Dr McNamara.
