Gerald 'Martin' Griffin

Gerald 'Martin' Griffin, Kiltomey, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry, passed away peacefully on the 9th February, 2026, surrounded by many of his family in the excellent care of the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital, Kerry.

Martin will be sadly missed by his loving wife Betty, sons Gerald, Thomas and John (Tweek), brothers Mike, Pats and the late John, sisters Bridie and Mary, his adored grandchildren Taylor, Reid and Quinn, daughters-in-law Claire and Sheana. He will also be missed by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and other great friends in Lixnaw and beyond.

Martin is predeceased by his parents John and Mary Bridget.

Reposing at Buckley/Finucane Funeral Home, The Village, Lixnaw, V92 F383 on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral cortege will depart Buckley/Finucane Funeral Home, The Village, Lixanw, on Friday morning at 12.45 pm. on route to Kiltomey Cemetery, Lixnaw where Martin will be laid to rest at 1pm.
