Geraldine Cafferty
(née Gallagher)
Geraldine Cafferty (née Gallagher) “Woodview”, Rathcline Road, Lanesboro, Co. Longford and formerly of Foxrock, Co.Dublin and Fuerty, Co.Roscommon. Peacefully on 10th March 2026, in the exceptional care of the staff at Innis Ree Nursing Home, Ballyleague.
Pre-deceased by her parents, Michael and Mamie, sisters Catherine and Mary and by loving niece Rose-Anna.
Deeply regretted by her loving family, husband Frank, sons, Justin, Norman and Robert, beloved Grandson Dylan, daughter-in-law Suzanne, sisters Eileen Jennings and Anne Eivers, brother Johnny Gallagher, sisters-in-law Leonie and Anita. brother-in-law Frank, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Geraldine was an enthusiastic bridge player, an amateur artist, accomplished flower arranger and a passionate protector of local wildlife.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Friday 13th March from 6.00pm concluding with prayers at 8.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday 14th March in St.Mary’s Church, Lanesboro at 1.00pm , followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium at 4.00pm
