CARTER, Geraldine (nee Doddy) late of Templeroan, Knocklyon and formerly of Russell Ave, Drumcondra, Dublin, peacefully on the morning of the 24th of March 2026, surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the wonderful staff at the Beacon Hospital. Beloved wife of Tommy Carter and loving mother of Gerard and Gillian. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, son, daughter, son-in-law David and daughter-in-law Yvonne, her adoring grandchildren Darragh, Hannah, Isabella and Lottie, much loved sister of Patricia, Fionnuala and her late infant sister Caroline, her brother-in-law Ray, nieces, nephews and all extended family, friends and neighbours.

Geraldine will be reposing privately at her home for family and close friends on Saturday from 5pm - 7pm and Sunday from 4pm - 6pm. Removal on Monday (30th March) to St. Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon, arriving for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery, Edmondstown Road, Rathfarnham.

The Carter family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Westrup and Dr. Kamran from the Beacon hospital, Prof Duffy from the Mater start clinic, all the nurses for all their care and kindness given to Geraldine throughout her illness and to her and the family in her final days.
