Gerard (Ger) Forde

Forde (Cork); on August 19th 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice; Gerard (Ger), Gurranabraher Avenue and formerly of Innishannon Road, Fairhill; Beloved husband of the late Mary (née Murphy) and loving father of June and Mark.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sister Helen, brothers Christy, Charlie and Eric, grandsons Cian and Darragh, great-grandson Ciarán, son-in-law Stephen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Visitation at O'Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Friday 22nd August from 5.00pm to 6.00pm with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday 23rd August at 10.00am at the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher. Funeral afterwards to the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Gerard’s Requiem Mass will be live-streamed on Webcam - Church of the Ascension - Gurranabraher, Cork and his Cremation Service on Services | The Island Crematorium Cork
