Gerard (Gerry) O DONOVAN

O DONOVAN, Gerard (Gerry) (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) August 9, 2018. Peacefully, at home amongst his beloved books following a long but comfortable illness. He will be very much missed by his wife, Louise, his children Marijke and Rossa, his grandchildren Thea and Sorca, his sons-in-law Paule and Brendan and wider family. Our thanks go out to our friends and neighbours who have been tremendously supportive during this period. We are especially grateful for the wonderful care he received from his carers, the medical profession and the local hospice.

He will repose at Carnegies Funeral Home, The Crescent, Monkstown on Monday, August 13th, from 12pm  to 2pm. A Humanist Ceremony to celebrate Gerard’s life will take place on Monday afternoon at 3pm in the Glasnevin Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Blackrock Hospice would be much appreciated.
