Gerard (Gerry) SMYTH
Gerard (Gerry) Smyth, Tuesday 29th December 2020. Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Beloved husband of Mairéad (née Doherty) and dear dad of Kate. Predeceased by his parents George and Rita, brother George, sister in-law Brenda. Gerard will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, brother David, sisters Leone, Mary and Anne, brothers in-law Mark, John, Eugene, Pat and Eamonn, sisters in-law Caroline and Maura, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Lord Rest His Soul
Due to level 5 restrictions on funeral ceremonies, Gerard's Mass will be private for family and close friends only with church numbers limited.
The community may wish to pay their respects and show support to the family when the cortège leaves his home in Castle Road on Friday (New Years Day) at 11.40am proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by private cremation. No Flowers, Please, by Family Request.
