Gerard Lynch

Gerard Lynch of The Square, Listowel, Co. Kerry, (former T.D., Senator and Councillor) died peacefully, in the tender care of Lystoll Lodge Nursing Home on 20th December 2025, beloved husband of Margot, dearest father of Mary, Geraldine, Seamus, Paddy, Catherine, Ann, Norma, Bernadette, Mags and the late John. Brother of Kaths Walsh and the late Nora Mary and Lulu Lynch.

 

Sadly missed by his loving family, his 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandsons, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

 

Gerard will repose at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Greenville, Listowel on Monday (22nd December) from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Listowel on Tuesday morning at 10.15 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for Gerald will be celebrated at 10.30 a.m. (streamed on www.listowelparish.com). Interment afterwards in St. John Paul II Cemetery, Ballybunion Road, Listowel.

 

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to The Palliative Care Unit, U.H.K. (via “Donation” link below – Kerry Hospice Foundation), or care of the Gleasure Funeral Home, Greenville, Listowel.
