Gerard Murphy

The death has occurred of Gerard Murphy, Newtownregan, Gort, Co. Galway and late of Abbey, Co. Galway and Six Mile Bridge, Co. Clare.

Gerard passed away peacefully on 8th April 2025 in the compassionate care of the staff at Galway University College Hospital.

Predeceased by his beloved son baby Austin, brothers MJ, Dominic, Pat and Peter, and sister Anne

Deeply regretted by his wife Maura, son Kevin, daughter Thérèse, brother Gus, daughter in-law Fiona, granddaughter Maia, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, in particular Rose and Donal.

Gerard will be very sadly missed by all his extended family, neighbours and many good friends,

The Reposal, and Funeral service in Shannon Crematorium will be a private ceremony as per Gerard's final Will and Testament
