Gerard passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family in Charleville Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Agnes and his sister Mary.

Dear brother of Philip, Dan and Donagh.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters-in-law Eileen, Noreen and Nora, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and former team-mates from Newtownshandrum G.A.A.

May Gerard Rest in Peace

Reposing in Hawe - O'Keeffe's Funeral Home (P56 YY15), Bakers Road, Charleville, on Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 7:30pm - (Prayers at 7:00pm).

Reception into St. Joseph's Church, Newtownshandrum on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, after which Gerard will be laid to rest in Newtown new Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the management, nurses and staff of Charleville Nursing Home for their care and kindness to Gerard during his time in their home.
