Gerard ROONEY

GERARD ROONEY Lough Ree Park, Ballyleague, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Cookstown, Co. Tyrone. March 12th, 2024; (Peacefully), after a very short illness, in the care of the staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital. He will be very sadly missed by his family; Damien, Paul, Mary and David, brothers Robert and Brendan, sister Anne, daughters-in-law Jaime, Karo and Bernadette, son-in-law Brían, grandchildren Eleanor, Rosabel, Lily and Edith, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Gerard is predeceased by his parents Bob and Bella, sister Molly and brother Sean.

May Gerard rest in peace.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Thursday evening from 5 o’c until 7 o’c. Removal from his home in Lough Ree Park on Friday morning at 11.30 o’c arriving to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 o’c. Burial afterwards in Cloontuskert Cemetery.
