Gerard (Sla) Callan
Barleyfield, Kilcurry and formerly Seafield Lawns and Hyde Park, Dundalk.
Passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, 18th July 2025, with his loving family by his side, after a long illness borne with unwavering dignity and strength.
Predeceased by his father Jimmy.
Beloved husband of Madeleine (née Crichton), loving dad of Marcus, Christopher, Rachael, Rebecca, Ruth and Pearse, and dear son of Maeve.
Gerard will be forever loved and missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughters, mother, his adored grandchildren Cormac, Maitiú, Lily and Rose, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Norín, sisters Fionnula, Maria, Sheila, Martina and Louise, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home, Barleyfield (A91RX76) on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 8pm.
Removal on Monday morning to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
