Gerdy Murphy

Murphy (Ballindangan Cross, Ballindangan).

Gerdy passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre deceased by his beloved parents Jack and Peg (nee Carroll), brother John and sister Breda.

Gerard (Gerdy), (ex 1st Motor Squadron, Fermoy), beloved husband and best friend of Catherine (nee Dwane), cherished father of Katriona, Gearóid and Ciarán. Adoring Grandad to Naoise, Ellie and Leah, Father in law to Aileen, Ciarán’s fiancée Selina and Katriona’s fiancé David.

Survived by brothers Anthony, Brendan and Declan, sisters Carmel Dowling and Ber Horgan, sisters in law, brothers in law, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, Mitchelstown, P67 DX81 from 5pm to 7pm on Monday (March 24th). Reception into Ballindangan Church on Tuesday (March 25th) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Brigown Cemetery, Mitchelstown
