Gerry Gannon

GANNON, Gerard (Gerry), (Fr.Griffin Rd, Salthill, Galway and formerly of Ballina, Co. Mayo) 7 February, 2024. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Galway University Hospital following the excellent care received in St.Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Pre-deceased by his brother Séan.

Beloved husband of Maureen, loving and much-loved father of Laura, Eoghan and Diarmaid. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son-in-law Lawrence, daughters-in-law Marci and Sarah, grandchildren Tom, John and Rory, brothers Michael, Paul and Peter, sisters Ann and Máire. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8), on Friday, 9 February, 2024, from 5.30pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Gerry on Saturday, 10 February, at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on arrival at 10.00am. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Bohermore.
