Gerry McCabe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry McCabe, who died peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family. Gerry was cared for with great kindness and compassion by the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and by the wonderful staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin for over 12 years.

Predeceased by his brother Brendan (Benny), Gerry was the beloved husband and best friend of Teresa, and the proud and adoring father of Ava. His loss will be profoundly felt and his memory forever cherished by his heartbroken wife and daughter, parents Sandra and Brendan, sister Francine, brother Derek, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and his wide circle of friends.

Gerry’s amazing strength, warmth, humour, and generous spirit touched all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Reposing at his parents’ residence, 157 Cedarwood Park, Dundalk (Eircode A91 H2C4) on Friday from 1pm to 8.00pm. Removal on Saturday at 1.30pm, walking to the Church of the Holy Redeemer for Funeral Mass at 2.00pm, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Castletown.

House strictly private at all other times.
