Gerry Moore

The death has occurred of Gerry (Muller) Moore, Academy Street, Navan and formerly of Grange, Bective, Navan (former Chairman of Meath & District League and current NEFL Chairman). January 30th 2026: suddenly at his residence, following a period of recovery after an illness.

Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, brothers Val and Jim and his beloved auntie Ainne. Gerry (Muller) was an ever present figure at the MDL grounds in Navan from the beginning, forty years ago up to his untimely passing. He will be sorely missed by all the many participants at the grounds down through the years, right up to the present day, including a wide circle of friends particularly in the Navan and surrounding areas.

In his playing days he was a renowned soccer player with Robinstown FC and Bective GFC. He was a member of the first Bective team to win a Meath championship in 1982. His kindness, good humour and huge contribution to the well being of the MDL grounds will never be forgotten.
