The death has occurred of Gerry Quinn, Joristown, Killucan, Co Westmeath – February 19th, 2026 peacefully at home following an illness bravely borne and surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his Parents Michael and Annie, Sisters Josephine, Lucy (Battle), Mary (Preston) and brother Willie (The Mighty).



A dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother and great friend. Gerry will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife and best friend Nuala, adored children Gerry, Keith, Colin and Sinead, daughter-in-law’s Caroline and Sharon, son-in-law Mickey, his cherished granddaughters Leah, Ava, Saibhe, Aoibhinn, Ellie, Annie and Ada, brothers Sean and Michael, sisters Margaret (Smyth), Lily (Daly) and Imelda (O’Connor), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

 

May Gerry's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

 

Reposing at his residence in Joristown (N91 P972) on Saturday evening from 4.30pm until 7.30pm. Please note access will only be possible via Raharney village. Removal on Sunday leaving his residence arriving for Funeral Mass at 1:30pm in St. Brigid's Church Raharney followed by burial in Rathwire cemetery.

House strictly private at all other times.

 

Family flowers only donations if required to the Oncology unit in Tullamore Hospital.

 

Gerry’s family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their kindness and support shown to them during this difficult time. A special word of thanks to the Oncology unit team at Tullamore Regional Hospital, nurses and staff at Regional Hospital Mullingar, the Palliative Care Team and all the carers who took care of Gerry during his illness.
