The death has occurred of
Gertrude (Gertie) FOLEY
(née Keane)
FOLEY, Gertrude (Gertie), late of Rathfarnham, Dublin and Drimbane, Curry, Co. Sligo passed away peacefully on 26th December 2024, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin after a long period of illness. A former Principal of St. Attracta’s Junior School, Meadowbrook, she was the daughter of the late Padraig O’Cathain of the Blasket Islands and Kathleen Keane of Drimbane.
She was predeceased by her husband Pearse and her sister Gabrielle. Gertie will be greatly missed by her children Brían, Sinéad and Seán, her brothers Padraig and Colm, beloved grandchildren Liam, Pascalle and Emmanuella, Sinéad's husband Frank, Diana, sisters-in-law Kathleen and Pauline, brother-in-law Michael, nephews, nieces, extended family and wonderful neighbours and friends.

Gertie’s Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange at 11am on Tuesday, 31st December, followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery, Harold’s Cross. Please leave your personal messages of sympathy for the Foley family, in the section below marked "condolences".
