Goretti Connolly
(née Gaffney)
Goretti Connolly (nee Gaffney), Corstruce, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, Sunday March 29th 2026, suddenly but peacefully in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Bridget and Tommy Gaffney, sisters Rose and Maura, brother Tommy, nephews Andrew and Thomas and her niece Annemarie.
Goretti was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend Joe, her son Mark (Lorraine), daughters Sharon (Padraig) and Lorraine, her adored grandchildren Aidan, Amy, Nicole, Kayla and Gavin, her brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all her extended family and her many friends.

Goretti will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Felim's Church, Ballinagh, followed by burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Drumcor. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Irish Heart Foundation, via the link on their website or donation box in the Funeral Home. House strictly private to family at all times please.
