Grainne Murphy
(née O'Connor)

Formerly of The Thatch Cottage, Seapoint, Barna, Galway.

Grainne died unexpectedly, at Galway University Hospital, with her heartbroken son and daughters by her side. Predeceased very recently, in March, by her husband Noel and by her parents John and Gertrude, sister Noreen and brothers Séamus and Frank.

Deeply loved and mourned by her son Jack, daughters Sarah and Marie, daughter-in-law Eileen, son-in-law Dessie and grandchildren Matthew and Leah. Gráinne’s presence will be greatly missed by all her family including her brothers Ronnie, Seán, Mickey and Billy, sisters Lil, Catherine and Mary, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends in particular Anne Murray.

Reposing at home on Tuesday, 21 May, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Removal on Wednesday, 22 May, to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road (H91 E781) where Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Gráinne on arrival at 11 a.m. Following Mass she will be laid to rest with Noel in Rahoon cemetery.
