Gretta Hughes

The death has occurred peacefully of Gretta Hughes, Balrath Road, Kells, Co. Meath and late of Killererin, Co. Galway,  Knockrath House,  Ballinlough and Clonmellon, Co. Westmeath in the loving care of her family and the medical staff of Care Choice Nursing Home Trim Tuesday, 23rd August 2022, in her 93rd year.

Gretta was predeceased by her father JT, mother Delia, brother’s George and Bobby, brother in-law Sean Hetherton and nephew Paul Hetherton and grand nephew baby Seamus Hetherton

Gretta is survived by her beloved sisters Mary Hetherton and Carmel Veale Chicago.  her nephews and nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces,  in-laws family and friends.

Treasured aunt of John, Seamus, Regina and Deirdre.

Grettas remains will arrive at St Colmcille's Church, Kells on Friday 26th at 6.30 pm Funeral Mass on Saturday 27th at 11am (which can be viewed on kellsparish.ie) followed by Private Cremation in  Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 1pm (link to follow).

Gretta will be fondly remembered as kind and friendly lady who worked extremely hard on the family farm and later worked at Jacobs and Bord Fáilte.

She had a strong faith and a gentle presence.
