Hans passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Galway University Hospital, surrounded by loving family.

 

Beloved husband of Virginia and loving father to Eric and Richard.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife and sons, the extended van Lente and Russell family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Sunday 4th January, 2026 :

Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. with a prayer Service at 7.00 p.m.

 

Private cremation to follow.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Parking may be scarce on Munster Avenue.

Car parks within walking distance of the parlour.

The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station
