Harry Downes

The death has occurred of Harry Downes, Lower Main Street, Kilfinane, Co. Limerick. Peacefully, on 9th of July 2025, in the excellent care of Milford Hospice. Beloved son of the late Henry and Margaret Downes, brother to the late William, Hester (Rossiter), Kate (Forbes), Mary Jo (Hossain) and Dan.

Deeply missed by his beloved partner Chrissie, brothers John, Mike, Charlie and Tom, sister Margaret (Lynch), brother-in-law Donie, sisters-in-law Anne and Lila, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, kind neighbours and many great friends.

Reposing at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Kilfinane (V35 E791), on Friday, 11th July 2025 from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass will take place at St. Andrew's Church, Kilfinane on Saturday 12th July at 11am, followed by burial in Kilfinane Cemetery.
