Helen Emmett
(née Smyth)
Helen Emmett (née Smyth) of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Raheny, Co. Dublin, died peacefully on Monday, 26th June, 2023, in her 90th year, in the tender care of Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill, after a short stay in St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire. She was a person of strong faith and is predeceased by her son Paul and will be sadly missed by her sons David, Karl, Desmond, Neill and Fergus, grandchildren Claudia, Matthew, Luke, Niamh, Mary-Jane, Claire, Paul and Jason, sisters Kathleen, Vera, Berney and Pauline, brothers Micheál and Francis, daughter-in-law Siobán, partners Evelyn, Frances and Amber, sisters-in-law Kathy and Anne, brothers-in-law Seán, Christy and Tom, extended family and friends, especially Bray’s daily churchgoers and Strand walkers.
Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Friday (30th June) from 5.00pm-6.00pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Saturday (1st July) at 10.00am to St. Peter’s Church, Little Bray, arriving for a Funeral Mass at 10.30am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Mass may also be viewed online at churchservices.tv/braystpeters. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
