Helen Gabriel
(née O'Donovan)

Gabriel (Bandon) on her birthday July 25th 2024, peacefully after a short illness and in the wonderful care of the Staff at Cork University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Helen (nee O'Donovan), beloved wife and best friend of Robert, "Rosebrook", Innishannon Road, and devoted Mam to Marion, Rosemary, Anna and Clodagh, adored Nana of Joey, Ellie and the late Robbie, beloved daughter of the late Hughie and Mary O'Donovan, Kilmore, and dear and loving sister of Willie, Ann and the late Marion, Noel and Teresa.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, daughters, sons-in-law Mark, Dave and Jason, grandchildren, brother, sister, uncle Liam Curtin, Willie's partner Caroline (Ross), brothers-in-law Peter, Michael and Eddie, sisters-in-law Nancy and Margaret, aunts-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours, her many friends and cousins at home and abroad and her beloved four-legged friend Sally.

Helen will be lying in repose at The Family Funeral Home in Bandon (eircode P72WE20) on Sunday evening from 4pm followed by prayers at 7pm.

Removal on Monday at 11am from Funeral Home to St. Patrick's Church, Bandon followed by Requiem Mass at 12 noon which will be livestreamed on www.corklivestream.com/funerals, funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Chernobyl Children International (which is a charity very near and dear to the family). Donation box will be available in the Funeral Home and the Church.
