Nell died peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Joseph's Hospital, Longford and in the presence of her family, on June 17th, 2024. Predeceased by her husband James, daughter Theresa, grandson Damien and son-in-law Tony Murphy. Nell will be forever missed and always remembered by her loving family, son Desmond (Mary), daughters Mary Canning, Angela Deely (Abbeycartron), Ursula O'Neill (Kill, Kildare) and Patricia Murphy (Moydow), sons-in-law Joe, Noel and Liam, her adored 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and her many dear friends.

Your life was love and labour,
Your love for your family true.
You did your best for all of us.
We will always remember you.

Rest in Peace Nell.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford, N39 KN66 on Wednesday 19th from 5pm with removal arriving to St. Mel's Cathedral for prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 20th at 11am, following Mass Nell will be laid to rest in the family plot in Ballymacormack Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to St. Joseph’s Patient Comfort Fund, c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member.
