Helen O'Neill

It is with sadness that we share the news that Helen O'Neill (formerly of Bray, Co Wicklow) passed away on Sunday 11th May at her home in Lover's Walk Cottages, Preston Park, Brighton, age 69 years. Helen was the cherished sister of Luke and beloved aunt to Stevie and Sam. Greatly missed by her sister-in-law Margaret, friends John, Jeff, Teresa, Cathy and Eleanor, cousins Pam and Margaret, extended family and many friends in Brighton, Bray and beyond,

Helen was a dedicated social worker in mental health helping so many people and their families, working in London and Brighton. She was a life-long supporter of womens' rights, and an activist with Amnesty International and Unite Against Fascism.

A celebration of Helen's life will take place in the The Martello Hotel, Strand Road, Bray on Friday 6th June from 1.30 pm. A woodland burial and gathering of family and friends will take place in Woodland Valley, Brighton BN2 6DX on Monday 16th June at 1.30pm.
