Hilda Byrne
(née Purcell)

BYRNE (née Purcell), Hilda Patricia (Artane, Dublin 5) – 25th March 2026 (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family in the kind care of the staff at Care Choice, Malahide Road. Beloved wife of the late Shay (James C.), devoted and loving mother of Maureen, Maurice, Vivienne, Shay and Sandra, adored grandmother and great-grandmother.

 

Pre-deceased by her great-grandaughter Rowan, her daughter-in-law Mary, her sister Doris, her brothers Frank, Willie and Ronald.

 

Sadly missed and remembered by her sisters Eileen and Margaret, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Fondly, remembering her beloved nephew Des at this time.

Hilda will repose in the Seafield Chapel, Fanagans Kirwans Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Monday, 30th March 2026, from 4pm until 6.30pm.

 

A celebration of Hilda's life will take place in Dardistown Crematorium Chapel on Tuesday, 31st. March 2026, at 10am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
