| Hugh Whelan, 26 Castlewood Gardens, Pollerton Rd., and formerly 75 Beechwood Park, Carlow and Bawnree, Old Leighlin, Co Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on January 13th, 2023 at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved husband of the late Agnes, much loved father of Michael, Mary, Catherine, Anne, John and Martina, and cherished brother of Martin, Jim, Packie and the late Mary, Kathy, Tom, Mick, George and Johnny.
He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, his 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Willie, James, Tommy and Gerry, daughters-in-law Lisa and Sue, brothers, sister-in-law Colleen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home, 26 Castlewood Garden, Pollerton Rd., (Eircode R93 FK52), on Tuesday, 17th January, from 2pm, concluding with Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in The Holy Family Church, Askea, followed by funeral afterwards to Paulstown Cemetery for Burial.
