Ian LACEY

Glenageary, Dublin / Bray, Wicklow

 

 

 

Ian Lacey, late of Beechwood Lawn, Glenageary,

and long-time resident of Glenageary Park.

Formerly of Mountainview Drive and

Ballywaltrim Cottages, Bray, Co. Wicklow.

 

Passed away, peacefully, March 28th, aged 63,

in the presence of his loving children &

brothers and in the wonderful care of the

staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital.

 

Son of the late John Patrick Lacey and

Mary Hegarty. Predeceased by his

former wife, Patricia.

Former National Wine Buyer for Musgrave,

Supervalu/Centra (Tramore Road, Cork),

64 Wine (Glasthule),TP Reynolds (Pembroke Rd

& Station House, Shankill)

and remembered for his Jamaican Music Show

“Black Echoes” as John Public

on RTÉ 2fm, BLB, Horizon, DLR,

Hits 106, Jazz FM & Dublin City FM

- for almost 40 years.

 

Dearly missed by his heartbroken children

David, Denzil and Marcia; his grandchildren

Joshua, Alanna and Eytan; his brothers

Dr. Paul, Des and David; his sons-in-law Jason

and Pedro; cousins, niece, nephews, in-laws,

relatives, his best friends Colin & Mary-Anne,

Declan & Peter, Gerard Maguire,

Anthony Robineau & Lucy Gaffney

(and all in 64 Wine), and friends.
