Ignatius Iggy McAvinney

Ignatius McAvinney, Kinaghabeg, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly Skryne, Tara, Co. Meath on 17th December 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of College View nursing home, Cavan. Predeceased by his wife Iseult, parents Sonny and Kathleen and sister Carmel. Deeply regretted by his sons Darragh, Tristan, Shane, Desmond and Cian, brothers Sean, Tony, Kieran and Noel, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

May Ignatius Rest in Peace

Remains will be reposing at Lawlor funeral home (H14 R583) from 5pm until evening prayers to 7pm on Thursday. Ignatius will leave his residence at 10.30am on Friday morning to arrive St. Patricks Church, Drumalee for 11am funeral mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care c/o Mark Lawlor Undertaker or any family member.
