Imelda Horan
(née O'Brien)

Peacefully on Sunday 22nd June 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff of the Shannon Ward of the University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Albert. Imelda will be deeply missed by her heartbroken children Michael, Angie, John, Emer and Lisa; her daughters-in-law Brenda and Angelina; son-in-law Chris; brother Terry and sister-in-law Moira.

She was a cherished grandmother to Chris, Amy, Kevin, Heidi, Eleanor and Emily, and a proud great-grandmother to Orla, Liam and Louie. Sadly missed by her nieces,nephews,extended family and many friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bushfield Care Centre Oranmore for the exceptional care provided to Imelda over the past three years.

Imelda's warmth, sense of humour and love will be remembered by all who knew her.

May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand (N37 WY17) on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass in Church of S.s. Peter & Paul, Athlone (N37 AK84) on Friday at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.
